LAPC supports the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We uphold a legal duty to protect the privacy of all personal data obtained from you while you are in therapy with one of us. We are open concerning our approach towards safeguarding your personal information.
Any initial phone calls or emails to the practice are collected securely by one of the Directors of LAPC. When you make contact with us we may collect the following information: Name, address, telephone number and/or email, GP’s details (where applicable), D.O.B (where applicable). Your first name and contact details are shared to carry out the administrative task of connecting you to the most appropriate therapist by secure technology. Your details are then deleted on receipt of this information being shared.
When commencing therapy in an initial meeting with your therapist they will discuss and give you a leaflet on how we keep your personal information safe and ask for your consent to store basic details for your records for the duration of your therapy. This information leaflet sets out in detail the information we collect about you, how and where we store your personal information, what we use your information for and when we securely delete your data. Each therapist working as part of LAPC subscribes to the ethical policy of their professional registration body.
